Welcome to the homepage of Dalbeattie Civic Daze, a Charity Registered in Scotland No. SC039656, based in the town of Dalbeattie, Kirkcudbrightshire, Dumfries and Galloway.

For many years an annual Civic Week was held in Dalbeattie involving locals and visitors alike, unfortunately, like many community events throughout the land, Civic Week folded, much to the disappointment of all involved.  However, in 2007, a new group of volunteers came together to form a committee now known as Dalbeattie  Civic Daze. Despite the short time between their formation and the ‘first’ of the new Civic Daze in August 2007, the event passed off successfully, and has gone from strength to strength since.

Year five of the resurrection, is on its way in 2011, and our Committee is as determined as ever to bring you a Civic Week to be proud of during the first full week of August (avoiding a clash with Dumfries Show and Gatehouse of Fleet Gala), along with various events throughout the year.
